What stops the reminders

Before each nudge or last message goes, the add-on checks again. Nothing more is sent if:

  • they opened the link. Link previews that some phones and apps fetch on their own don’t count; only a real tap does.
  • they replied to the request, by text, email or WhatsApp. A note goes on the job saying they replied, so nobody who has written back about a problem is asked again.
  • you ticked them as Reviewed on the Sent tab, or Google matched their review to them.
  • the No Review badge was added to the job or client card.
  • they asked not to be contacted, using the link in a review email.
  • you turned the nudge or last message off, switched Reviews off, or your subscription ended.

Asking the same customer again

People come back to you, and you don’t want them asked after every visit. A customer is matched on their mobile number or email, not on the client card, so a letting agent’s card with many tenants doesn’t block all of them.

They… Asked again on a later job after
reviewed you, or you ticked them as Reviewed 24 months
opened the link 24 months
didn’t open the link 6 months, then one message only, with no nudge or last message

You can change the six months to 3 or 12 on the Settings tab, under Asking the same customer again.

Two jobs for the same customer in the same week get one request between them.

Customers who opt out

Every review email has a line at the foot: “Don’t want messages like this from your business? Stop them here.” Pressing it and confirming stops all review requests from you to that person, by text, WhatsApp and email, permanently. Anything already waiting for them is cancelled, and Recent jobs shows “Not sent: they asked not to be contacted”.

Texts don’t carry an opt-out line, to keep them short. If a customer texts back asking not to be contacted, their reminders stop because they replied. Put the No Review badge on their client card so they’re never asked again.
